Healthy Relationships, Relaxation and Activity are essential to good health.  A couple of years ago, we met couples in Los Angeles to celebrate at a birthday party.  We decided to explore LA sites, including Venice Beach and Rodeo Drive. Obviously, we had soooo much fun.  As we look back, we had no idea that we would not have the opportunity to hang out again with my best buddy for over 30 years.  Don"t let that opportunity pass you by, get out, enjoy your relationships, it is good for your body and your soul.

How To Host a Seasonal  Party
How to plan and host a simple garden party
A party is a project that requires skills.  Every party requires careful planning, attention to detail and effective communication to make the party a success.  Planning yields success.
  • Make a To Do List! The list should be designed to be fluid.
  • Check event calendars of people in your circle before choosing the date. Even after the RSVP, generally 60 to 70% attends (so invite 20 to 30% more).
  • Most people plan social activities at the least, 2 weeks in advance. So get an early start. Send those e-vites/text messages/invitations early (follow up with a call).
  • Invite guest with similar interest, like gardening, alumni, church group, your exercise buddies or, my favorite guest, neighbors
Add simple, inexpensive theme decorations throughout the party area.

Why not table salt?
Did you know that Commercial refined salt is stripped of all its minerals, besides sodium and chloride, and it is chemically cleaned, bleached and heated? I read that it is treated with anti-caking agents which prevent salt from mixing with water in the salt container. These agents also prevent dissolving within our system leading to build up and then deposit in organs and tissue, causing severe health problems. And that, the iodine that is added into salt is usually synthetic which is difficult for your body to process properly.
Why Pink Salt?
The pink color of the Himalayan Sea Salt is an indication of this salt’s rich and varying mineral and energy-rich iron content. Himalayan salts are crystallized sea salts from the Himalayan mountains which have been covered by lava and kept in a pristine environment surrounded by snow and ice and thought to have been protected from modern-day pollution leading to the belief that Himalayan Pink salt is the purest salt to be found on earth. It is made up of 85.62% sodium chloride and 14.38% other trace minerals including: sulfate, magnesium, calcium, potassium, bicarbonate, bromide, borate, strontium, and fluoride.

Because of these minerals Himalayan pink salt can:

-Create an electrolyte balance
-Increases hydration
-Regulate water content both inside and outside of cells
-Balance pH (alkaline/acidity) and help to reduce acid reflux
-Prevent muscle cramping
-Aid in proper metabolism functioning
-Strengthen bones
-Lower blood pressure
Help the intestines absorb nutrients
-Prevent goiters
-Improve circulation
-Dissolve and eliminate sediment to remove toxins
