Your neighborhood lemon lady 🍋

Here are a few things I’ve learned about caring for lemon trees:
- Not all lemons are tart. Some are more sweet! Knowing the species of lemon tree you plant will determine which taste you get. This one is a Meyer lemon tree. It’s sweet, not tart.
- It’s important to cover them when the weather freezes to essentially keep them from dying. I cover it with an agricultural fabric but regular ol’ bed sheets work too!
- A mushroom-based compost around the base twice a year is a good way to pump it with nutrients.
- They need lots of sunlight! Just like most everything else in the world 😊
