I’m always amazed by how gardening can make you feel like a scientist 👩🏾🔬
The package for my marigold seeds said to either: 1. wait until after the last frost of the season before planting outside, or 2. start them inside 4-6 weeks before the weather truly warms up.
With this unpredictable Houston weather, I chose 2!
I reassembled my little indoor garden/lab, complete with grow lights and a DIY greenhouse, and got started.
The trays & lids for the “greenhouse” were a dollar at Dollar Tree. If you can’t or don’t want to invest in a grow light, just put them by a window.
I’ve also been spraying them with diluted liquid seaweed as fertilizer. According to my scientific data (😏), plants loooove seaweed.
What measures are y’all taking to get ready for spring? What are y’all mixing up in the lab??
